Craig Muzilla, Vice President of Red Hat's Middleware Business Unit, discusses how JBoss Enterprise Middleware delivers value to Enterprise IT.
A recently commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Red Hat detailed significant cost savings and benefits achieved by one Red Hat customer, a major telecommunications provider, after migrating from proprietary middleware to JBoss Enterprise Middleware.
The Forrester Consulting study concluded that the Total Economic Impact of migrating to JBoss Enterprise Middleware included a 63% return on investment, reduced operational costs of over $2 million and improved IT productivity and time to market.
Forrester Consulting's study reflects what JBoss Enterprise Middleware customers have been telling us for years; the value in our open source subscription model and the technical benefits of our product offer customers the opportunity to realize real savings of time and money. Because of these factors we are seeing greater adoption of JBoss Enterprise Middleware at a strategic level across the enterprise.
It is our belief that this study recognizes our value proposition and will encourage other organizations to take a serious look at migrating from proprietary middleware to JBoss Enterprise Middleware. Using Forrester Consulting's Total Economic Impact (TEI) framework, we believe many companies may find the potential for a compelling business case to migrate to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
